It's almost time to start taking your exams! We know that taking your GCSE and A-Level exams can be stressful, so here are five of our top tips to help you make your exams a success.
Good luck!
Create a comfortable study space, ideally somewhere quiet, so you can focus on your revision. Try and get rid of all distractions and think about what works for you.
Eat breakfast! It’s called the most important meal of the day for a reason. Even a simple bowl of cereal will give you the best start to your day and give you the boost you need. Make sure to eat healthily and stay hydrated by drinking lots of water.
Create a revision timetable and make a plan of the exam period highlighting;

Try different ways to revising, such as reading and taking notes or creating flash cards and mind maps. Find out more ideas here.
Old exam/test papers can be an excellent revision tool. They can also help you identify your strengths or weaknesses and help you to familiarise yourself with question styles and how they are formatted.
To reduce exam anxiety, make sure you get enough sleep - the recommended amount per night is between 7 to 9 hours. If you are finding it hard to sleep, you should discuss your concerns with your family or close friends.
Make sure to take breaks to give your mind a rest and try to reduce stress as much as you can - the NHS has some great advice here.

Good luck with your exams! On results day, remember to upload your achieved grades as soon as possible as enrolment operates on a first come, first served basis. For more information about our application process and enrolment, click here.
